RIM Company (Research in Motion) has unveiled the new Blackberry Pearl 3G smartphone during the WES 2010 event. This new model features major improvements compared to the original model 8100 series that was left unchanged for more than three years.
The new Pearl is fitted with 802.11n WiFi support as well as a 3.2 megapixel camera. It comes with 256MB of internal storage and supports microSD expansion of up to 32GB.
Being the smallest Blackberry smartphone up to date, the Pearl 9100 is expected to be released real soon in a variety of colours. Two different keypad configurations will also be available: the traditional 14-key and the Condensed QWERTY keypad with Blackberry’s SurePress function.
